So yeah, it's been a while since I've posted. Thanks for the nudge, Teresa. There just hasn't been much going on here lately. Which has actually been a good thing. Volleyball is over, the kids haven't had any other activities going on, and we've been seriously enjoying the down time. However, that has all changed this week. Soccer practices have started for T.J. and softball practices for Hope. There's just nothing like having two kids involved in two different sports at the same time to keep you hopping!
Spring has sprung here in north central IL. We've been getting rain nearly daily for the last week. Temps have been up into the 70's. However, the last few days they have dipped back down into the 50's. :( Typical IL weather for you. The grass is turning green....the trees are starting to bud...and I've noticed some of my perennial plants are starting to emerge from the ground.
I had to break down and buy Sam a pair of real shoes to wear as his little soft-soled Robeez just don't cut it in this rainy weather. Try explaining to a 17 month old that no, he can't play outside because it's wet and he doesn't have proper shoes! The poor kid, he loves his new shoes, but he walks around in them like he has cement blocks on his feet! So we save the heavy clonkers for outside rainy days and let him stay in the Robeez the rest of the time.
So that's really it for us these days. Stay tuned for future sports pics and updates in the next month though! :D
